Please join us for SF in SF at the American Bookbinders Museum, with readings and conversation from Daryl Gregory and Hannu Rajaniemi, moderated by author Terry Bisson.
Daryl Gregory is the award-winning author of six novels, including Pandemonium, which won the 2009 Crawford Award, We Are All Completely Fine, and Harrison Squared. His collection Unpossible and Other Stories was named one of the five best science fiction books of 2011. Of Harrison Squared NPR said “[Gregory is] the kind of storyteller who’s always chasing after the weird — occasionally catching it, often trailing close enough to smell the brimstone and tacos on its breath…. all proof of a nimble mind and busy, strange fingers.”
Hannu Rajaniemi is the author of three novels in the Jean le Flambeur series, published in both English and Finnish: The Quantum Thief (which won the Tähtivaeltaja Award and both a Cambell Award nominee and nominee for Best First Novel); The Fractal Prince, and most recently The Causal Angel. A native of Finland, he holds a Ph.D. in mathematical physics from the University of Edinburgh; he is also a member of Writer’s Bloc, Edinburgh’s premier spoken word performance group.
For over a decade SF in SF has offered readings, films, and special events in the Bay Area for readers of science fiction, fantasy, and speculative fiction. Hosted by Terry Bisson, past guests have included Neil Gaiman, Cory Doctorow, Karen Joy Fowler, and Nalo Hopkinson. We hope you will join us!
